Reishi  (Ganoderma lucidum) In nature, it grows at the base and stumps of deciduous trees especially maples. Only two or three out of 10,000 such trees will have Lingzhi growth, and therefore its wild form is rare.

Lingzhi has been recognized as a medicinal mushroom for over 2000 years, and its powerful effects have been documented in ancient scripts (Wasser 2005). The proliferation of G. lucidum images in art began in 1400 AD, and they are associated with Taoism. However, G. lucidum images extended beyond religion and appeared in paintings, carvings, furniture, and even women’s accessories. The first book wholly devoted to the description of herbs and their medicinal value was Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing, written in the Eastern Han dynasty of China (25-220 AD). This book is also known as “Classic of the Materia Medica” or “Shen-nong’s Herbal Classics.” It describes botanical, zoological, and mineral substances, and was composed in the second century under the pseudonym of Shen-nong

Reishi mushroom is a fungus that holds an important place in the traditional medical systems of China, Japan, Korea and other Asian countries for its health-promoting effects. It is used as an Immunostimulant by patients with AIDS and Cancer. The active constituents include both Beta-glucan Polysaccharides and triterpenes. 

Extracts of Reishi were shown to have Immunomodulatory, Reno protective, anti-inflammatory and Hepatoprotective properties both in vitro and in vivo. Clinical studies indicate its benefits in improving lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) in men, and in exerting mild antidiabetic effects and improving dyslipidaemia. 

Preclinical findings indicate that Reishi has Immunomodulatory and Chemo preventive effect, alleviates Chemotherapy-induced nausea  enhances the efficacy of Radiotherapy, and increases sensitivity of Ovarian Cancer cells to cisplatin. It may also help prevent cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity.

Instructions

• • Add 2 teaspoons into your Smoothie, Tea or Beverage. Blend, Mix and Enjoy. Use up to three times daily.

   

  • Storage -  We use Amber glass jars that protects the powder from harmful UV rays that can degrade the quality of the product. But we recommend storing in a cool dark place. 

• Caution - if you have low blood pressure or are taking therapy to raise your blood pressure, are taking diabetes medications, or have immune system disorders or medications. Higher doses of Reishi Mushroom might make bleeding more likely in people who have a very low platelet count.
